Terms of Service

Plain-English rules for using OwnNumber fairly, safely, and responsibly.

Last updated: February 24, 2026

1) About the service

OwnNumber provides browser-based calling using virtual phone numbers and Twilio voice infrastructure. You can buy credits, place international calls, and manage your account online.

2) Eligibility and account responsibility

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting sign-in access.
  • You must comply with applicable local laws where you place or receive calls.

3) Fair use and prohibited activity

You agree not to use the service for abuse or illegal conduct, including:

  • Fraud, scam calls, impersonation, harassment, or unlawful robocalling.
  • Spamming, traffic pumping, or attempts to bypass call pricing/routing controls.
  • Any use that threatens network integrity, security, or service stability.

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts involved in abuse, with or without prior notice, depending on risk.

4) Credits, pricing, and payments

  • Credits are prepaid and used according to published calling rates.
  • Rates may vary by destination and may change over time.
  • Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
  • Taxes, telecom surcharges, and regulatory fees may apply where required.

5) Refunds and billing disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us promptly with details. We review disputes in good faith and may issue partial or full adjustments where appropriate. Except where required by law, prepaid credits are generally non-refundable once used.

6) Service availability

We work hard to keep OwnNumber reliable, but telecom availability can be affected by third-party networks, maintenance, region-specific restrictions, and force majeure events. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

7) Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, payment failures, or security risks. Some obligations (for example, payment obligations and liability limits) continue after termination.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, OwnNumber is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the period directly preceding the claim.

9) Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

10) Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the applicable courts and legal framework of England and Wales.
